DIY: frame an everyday object

i'm always looking for creative, inexpensive, and beautiful ways to decorate my apartment. since i don't really have too much extra money lying around for anything other than the essentials (i.e.- food and alcohol) i've found that one of the easiest things to do to spruce up an otherwise boring white wall is to scrounge up items you have laying around your house and use your imagination. something as simple as taking an everyday object (i.e.- a candle, an old record, a book, a bouquet of dried flowers, leftover swatches of fabric, etc.) and framing it is a fantastic way to add a unique touch to your home without spending a lot of money or a lot of time...
